Description
In this 3rd-class we’ll dive a little deeper into the Cura Slicing software by introducing you to the different types of Adhesion, Supports, Walls, and Infills. We’ll print a gecko without supports that can freely move. This is combination of class 3 and class 4.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Resolution settings: Discover how layer height impacts print quality.
- Strength settings: Understand Infill Density, Infill Patterns, and Shell Thickness to make stronger prints.
- Support types: Compare Normal and Tree supports to see which works best for complex designs.
- Adhesion options: Learn when to use Brim, Skirt, or Raft—and how to avoid the dreaded Raft when possible.
After completing the class, you’ll gain access to the final take-home exam, featuring a video recap and mini quizzes to test your knowledge. A score of 90% or higher is required to pass, and you can retake the exam as many times as needed. Don’t have a computer at home? No problem—request to take the exam at FundedYouth.
Passing the exam unlocks access to our Open Labs, where you can use the Sovol 3D printers to work on your own projects. Join us at FundedYouth in Parkway Plaza Mall, El Cajon, CA, and take the next step in your 3D printing journey!
