Join us for a 45-minute in-person class at FundedYouth in Parkway Plaza Mall, El Cajon, CA, where you’ll explore FDM 3D printer hardware, master leveling techniques, learn the basics of 3D printing, and create your first project—a fidget spinner ring.
Times: We offer this class all day when an instructor is available. Just stop on by and we’ll teach you.

Description

The absolute beginner class on how to 3D Print using an FDM style printer. For this class we will be working with the Sovol SV06 Plus 3D Printer. This printer is very intuitive and includes a touch screen. This class is part of the Intro to 3D Printing course which is precursor to gaining access to the Sovol 3D Printer Open Labs.
Overview
  • Learn about the FDM 3D Printer hardware components
  • Learn how to level an FDM 3D Printer
  • Learn how to Print a 3D object
  • First Print: 3D Print a Fidget Spinner Ring
  • 45 Minute Session
  • 10 seats max per class.
Time: We teach this class all day. You can register ahead of time or just walk in and talk to volunteer.
Requirements
Age:
We ask that students be at least 7 years old and
have the ability to read. If your child/student is under the age of 7
but can read, we are willing to make an exception but we will put them
through a reading test. A child under the age of 7 must show up at
least 30 minutes before the class begins.
Agreements:
Along with registration and check in, we require all parents/guardians and event attendees to sign the FundedYouth waivers. If you would like to read this ahead of time you can view the files at: https://fundedyouth.org/legal/. We require parents/guardians and event attendees to sign the waiver for each event.

DROP OFFS: Currently FundedYouth requires parents/guardians to
stay while their kids are attending the class. In the future we may allow for
drop-off, but we still need to draft up the agreements before this can be
approved. Thank you for understanding.

Directions: Park near the Dicks Sporting Goods and enter through the mall entrance. Walk to the next intersection and take left. We are next to Youth Venture and across from Visiting Angels. If you coming from the front of the Mall, go to the first intersection and take a right and go down towards Dicks Sporting Goods. We are at the end on the right.
